Julenda Satow Freeman, will navigate us through a series of three post-modern dance works that she choreographed in a week-long residency at the Nickerson-Rossi Dance Theater. Julenda will share her family’s story through movement, language, and photography, inviting conversations with the audience. The Palm Springs International Dance Festival opens its doors to the public to learn, experience, and understand aspects of the urban Native American experience and to provide a platform for contemporary Native people, their lives, and their artistic work.

Nickerson Rossi Dance collaborates with recording artist Patrick Olson in an unpredictable exploration of the border between science and art. This multifaceted production involves live original music, performance art, projection, singing, and dance.
This program will feature vocals from our locally celebrated artists Raymond Del Barrio, Kellee McQuinn, and Christine Tringali Nunes. Plus live music played by Phillip Meneses, Pierre Jamerson, and Elias Mallin.
Join us for the reception before the program for a social hour at the dance theater before the program begins.

Salon Rouge returns to the Festival! A praised sold-out program that this year will feature our award-winning dance team and ballroom instructors, Beverly Durand and Curtis Collins! Learn basic social dancing, hit the dance floor to strut your moves and be ready to move! Any level of dance is welcome. We will have a special professional performance by Beverly and Curtis, and additional performances featuring dancers of the Coachella Valley! Oh, and the drinks are on us!
