Master Class with
Michael Nickerson-Rossi

An athletic release technique fostered by gravity allowing the dancer to experience various levels of space and momentum. We, as a class, will be challenged by the expansion of movement that incorporates precision, fluidity and form, subtlety and bigness, that engages the dancer's spatial intention.

"RISE ABOVE"
Student Showcase

Dance facilities enrolled in this program will present a dance work inspired by the theme "rising above."

With the 2020 pandemic completely shifting our lives, many dancers have understandably given up.

We ask that the work presented represents how your dance facility and your students have "risen above" and found the light at the end of the tunnel.

How are you keeping dance alive?

Ballet

Saturday, October 2nd  |  5:15pm - 6:30pm

Blanca’s ballet class is rooted in traditional ballet technique that emphasizes technical refinement with the integration of Classical French, Russian, Italian, and Cuban schools of dance. The class incorporates fundamental aspects of somatics techniques to develop self-awareness, promoting self-correction as the dancer develops in the classical technique. The class will provide the opportunity to find freedom of movement and continue to develop the dancer’s artistry as technical expertise is developed.
